General information - The Frogspawn is a beautiful aggressive large

polyp stony coral (LPS). It named Frogspawn coral due to its polyps

which resembling frog eggs. The frogspawn is very common coral

among hobbyists all over the world. Its tentacles are usually brown with

lighter colored tips but it also appears in green with paler tips or green

with brown tips. The frogspawn coral is a relatively easy to grow. It is

good coral for beginners because they grow well and consider being

low demanding as opposed to other LPS corals.

Origin - Indo-Pacific 

Nutrition - Although this coral feed through photosynthesis being performed by zooxanthellae, a

photosynthetic alga living symbiotically inside it the Frogspawn coral requires direct feeding with micro-

plankton, mysis, krill or brine shrimp.   

BehaviorAggressive 

Maintenance and care – Frogspawn coral is aggressive towards the other marine aquarium Invertebrates. 

It should be kepp in reef tanks away from the other corals because its sweeper tentacles may hurt those

tank mates, can by kept near corals from the genus Euphyllia. It requires supplements such as Calcium,

Strontium, and Trace Elements. It grows quickly under T-5 lighting and metal halide lighting, many

hobbyists report that metal halide lighting increases growth rate.
