General information – The Favia is a beautiful Large Polyp Stony (LPS) Coral that occurs in brown, tan, green and cream colors. Nutrition – The Favia is a filter feeding coral. Favia can be fed and seem to appreciate direct feeding (plankton or brine shrimp) in small amounts. Behavior - Aggressive Maintenance and care – The Favia is low demanding coral that certainly be considered a beginner's coral. This coral requires Calcium; average of 450 ppm will be great for it.The Favia will benefit from trace elements, iodine and strontium. Its tentacles can extend to a distance approximately equal to the diameter of the corals main body.
