General information - Fox coral is a large polyp stony (LPS) coral

that lives on the sand bottom. This coral is a great addition for any

saltwater fish tank, easy to care and maintain. Fox Coral is diurnal

and expands during the day; it can expand to three times the size

of the skeleton. Due to its hardiness and tolerance a wide range of

conditions this coral is a great LPS for beginners. In the market this

beautiful coral appears in variety of colors white, pink, green, brown,

tan and cream.

Origin - Indo- Pacific

Nutrition – Fox coral feeds mainly through photosynthesis being performed by zooxanthellae, a

photosynthetic alga living symbiotically within it but will also benefit from meaty foods such as

brine shrimp and micro-plankton. Calcium, Strontium, Trace elements are highly recommended

for its health.

Behavior - Peaceful

Maintenance and care – It is highly recommended to place the Fox Coral on the bottom or on an

exposed rock along the bottom. Fox coral must be placed a safe distance from other corals otherwise

it can be stung by them.

Water Parameters – Temperature: 74F-80F, pH 8.1-8.4, Specific Gravity: 1.023-1.025, dKH 8-12

Lighting- Although fox coral thrives in a wide variety of conditions Indirect light of medium to low

lighting is recommended.

Water flow- Fox Coral requires low to moderate water current
