General information – This SPS (small polyp stony) Cactus coral has

Brown, Green, Tan colors. It has fragile skeletons and interesting growth

patterns. Though not especially fast growing, their hardiness makes

them good corals for captive propagation by fragmentation.Its common

name "cactus," comes from its appearance which resembles that of a

cactus with thin plates, the polyps extend from both sides of the plates.

In nature this coral found in depth of 0 – 40 meters.

Nutrition – Calcium, Strontium and Trace elements should be provided.   

Behavior - Semi-aggressive   

Maintenance and care – The cactus corals can be forgiving and tolerant in healthy aquariums,

it is recommended to place it away from aggressive coralsIn the aquarium, Pavona are quite hardy

and resistant to disease
