General information – The Ricordea Mushroom is one of the easiest corals to keep, this soft coral thrive in most aquariums. It shares some similarities to stony corals. Nutrition – Direct feeding is not necessary but it may enhance growth. The symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within its body provide the majority of its nutritional requirements through photosynthesis. It also eats plankton and smaller invertebrates such as tiny crustaceans. Behavior - Semi-aggressive, requires adequate space between itself and other corals.
