General information – This huge aggressive tetra is the only Hoplias member seen in the aquatic trend. The Wolf tetra is an elongate fish with large scales and horizontal black bands running the length of the body, the base color is silver-grey. It has small sharp tooth used to hunt and kill. Nutrition –Carnivore.In home tank it will accept live or frozen food such as fish, shrimps, crabs and worms. Behavior - Highly aggressive Maintenance and care – Due to its large size and predatory nature, this fish is best kept alone in a very large tank decorate with rocks and woods. Do not keep the Wolf tetra with small fish as they will likely be mistaken for food and eaten. A strong filtration system is essential.
