freshwater shrimps are found in all tropical regions in the world. Most of them live and breed in fresh water but some like the Caridina japonica requires Salt water or brackish water to hatch their young. Most of them breed easily wile others requires special water conditions. Shrimps feed on algae and left over food wile others prefer to hunt small fish and fry. In the last few years those astonishing creatures manage to enter to the hearts of many fish keepers all over the world.
