General information – the Anubias barteri known to be a very hardy plant that has lush green arrow shaped foliage. this plant primarily grow in rivers and streams, but can also be found in marshes. this plant is very popular because herbivorous fish will not eat it. This is why Anubias are some of the few plants which can be used in aquariums with African Cichlids and Goldfishes. Common Name - Nana Scientific Name - Anubias barteri 'Nana' Family - Araceae Origin - central and western Africa Size – up to 16 inches in width Maintenance and care – very hardy plant that usually attached to rocks or woods, with the suitable conditions the anubias can produce flowers underwater. In the tank they should be placed in shaded areas as possible.
