General information – The Tiger Lotus is a beautiful African Lotus plant, shiny red colors with beautiful spots.The Tiger Lotus has two growth forms, one with submerged leaves, and the other with floating leavesIt is known to flower at night and close in the morning, the color of the flower is white and sometimes tinged with pink Common Name – Tiger Lotus, Egyptian Lotus, Egyptian Water-Lily, Water lily Scientific Name – Nymphaea lotus Family - Nymphaeaceae Origin - Africa Size –Up to 45 cm (18 inches) Maintenance and care – Easy to keep this lotus will thrive in larger aquaria at temperatures between 22C -30C (72F-86 F). The lotus is a heavy root feeder, and appreciates a rich substrate, and benefits from fertilizer tabs placed near its roots.
