General information – The Midas blenny belong to the Blenniidae family. Blennies (Blenniidae) come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but what they all have in common are their almost comical features, with inquisitive binocular eyes which stare enticingly into the lens, coupled with a lopsided grin that seems to imply a shared joke with the viewer. Midas blenny has an elongated thick body with a large head and large dark eyes; The tail is very long in adults. Midas blenny is usually dark yellow in color, including streaks and color variations of gold and blue on its body. Nutrition - Midas is unusual in that it is not an herbivore like most other fish in the genus. In nature it feed mostly on zooplankton. In captivity it will eat flakes, pellets and frozen foods. Behavior - Peaceful Maintenance and care – 30 gallon tank size decorate with rocks. The Midas blenny considered safe for corals as well as for other. It will prefer moderate current in its tank. Midas blennies rarely bother tankmates, though they will sometimes chase after and even bite other blennies.
