Nutrition – Omnivore, in the wild the Flagfin Angel feeds on sponges and algae. In captivity the Flagfin

Angel is difficult to feed. Try to offer him sponge-containing frozen angelfish foods, brine shrimp, mysis

and krill. This magnificent angelfish should be kept only in a well established reef tank; they will spend

most of their day grazing from live rocks so the rocks must be covered with algae.

Maintenance and care - The Flagfin Angel should be kept in a tank of 80 gallons or more with plenty

of room to swim. They will spend most of their day grazing from live rocks. Flagfin Angel is one of the

more difficult angelfish to adapt to prepared foods. Juveniles are the easiest to adapt so it is highly

recommended to purchase them as juveniles otherwise they won't adapt and eventually die.

The Flagfin Angelfish is prone to nip at soft and stony corals, clams are in danger too.
